What we believe
THE WORD OF GOD
We believe the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments to be the only inspired, inerrant, authoritative, Word of God in the original writings. These verbally inspired books are the final authority in faith and life.
The trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Redemption
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified by faith, and our lives will show this new life to be genuine. Salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus includes being born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby becoming children of God.
MANKIND
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. There must be intervention from God to bridge our separation from God.
Marriage
Marriage was instituted by God and intended to be the exclusive covenant union of one man and one woman picturing our relationship to Christ (He is the groom and we are His bride).
The lord Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. We believe in His deity, in His sinless life, in His miracles, and in His atoning death on the cross. We believe that Jesus Christ will return in bodily form just as He promised.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the present ministry of the Holy Spirit guides believers into truth, enables them to know God’s will and live a godly / fruitful life that glorifies Him. He empowers believers, comforts them, convicts of sin and distributes spiritual gifts.
The Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and His present life for us as High Priest and Advocate. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those saved unto a resurrection life.
The Ordinances: Baptism and Communion / The last supper
We believe in water baptism for believers. Baptism is an outward sign of their inward transformation (faith). Being baptized tells of their salvation and life in Christ, as it is a picture of the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. We believe that Communion was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. Both baptism and communion should be observed until Christ’s return.
